Polite Manners, Hallmark Cards, and Weapons

Alive Youth Church Weekly Happy Thanksgiving week AYC!! There is no better way to start this out than by saying… I am so thankful for you. YOU. Not what you do, the things you accomplish or events you attend, for what you can say, be, or whatever else. I am truly thankful for YOU. Let’s be a little more thankful for each other. Cause let’s just be honest here, we are all pretty cool. AYC has been such a blessing the last few weeks. Students meeting Jesus, some for the first time. Tons of new faces showing up, real problems getting addressed, small groups flourishing, Jesus present through it all, fun had, food eaten, laughs laughed. Oh what a good time to be apart of Alive Youth Church.  REMINDER: Enjoy your holiday week. No AYC Sunday November 31st! But told you worry, we are so back the following Sunday! Don’t miss it.  As you go into the big week, here is what scripture says, and a few thoughts to go along with it. “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will ...

Sometimes it is That Simple

Alive Youth Church Weekly  Hello AYC friends, I love gathering with all of you every Sunday night. As I like to say... it truly is the best night of the week.   Students: Thank you for continuing to show up ready for what Jesus is doing. For bringing your friends, and being a light in your homes, schools, and throughout your everyday lives.  Leaders: You will never truly know the impact that you have. But it sure is fun leading with you. Continue to put Jesus first. Thank you for your willingness to serve. Parents: Thank you for your trust, for believing in AYC as a place to learn, meet people,  and grow closer to Jesus together. Church and community: Thank you for supporting us! Even if you can't physically be with us each week, your prayer, insight, words of encouragement, and impact on the students and leaders do not go unnoticed.  Reminder... we meet every Sunday night at West Salem Foursquare Church at 6:30pm and wrap up around 8:45pm. This is so clear in Alive Youth Church. A collection of students and leaders alike, ages ranging from 10 years old to almost 50. I love it when a simple question from a middle schooler can impact many. AYC has always been a place where High schoolers, middle schoolers, and trusted leaders of all ages can minister to each other in Jesus' name. What a great thing to witness and be a part of. My prayer is that we as a people continue to welcome, love, pray, and work as Jesus does. never limited by age, but empowered by the spirit within us.  When God Feels Silent "Be still, and know that I am God." —  Psalm 46:10 There are times when it feels like God has gone quiet. You pray and get no answer. You read your Bible, but the words just sit there, and you just sit there too. You wonder if maybe you’ve done...
